Our Approach

Integrating Science with Care

At PARC, we conduct a wide range of research studies aimed at making high-quality treatment more accessible to those who need it most. Our research spans multiple domains, including Service Development, Novel Technologies, Training Innovations and Treatment Optimization. As we continually strive to provide the best possible care to our patients, we ensure that our treatment informs our research, and our research enhances our treatment. See below to find out more about how we are achieving this.

Current research Studies

PARC conducts clinical and translational research evaluating innovative treatments for youth anxiety and OCD. Our work includes exposure-based therapies, technology-enhanced interventions, and novel models for delivering high-quality care. Below are our current active studies, each designed to advance accessible, evidence-based treatments for children and families.

PARC is enrolling participants for the IMPACT-RI study, which is investigating how the delivery method of exposure therapy may influence treatment outcomes for youth with OCD or anxiety. The IMPACT-RI study compares three approaches: fully in-person sessions, fully remote therapy, and a hybrid of both. We are currently enrolling participants. Click “Learn More” below for details.

PARC researchers are conducting the first-ever trial of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for youth with OCD. TMS is a safe, noninvasive procedure that uses a hand-sized magnetic coil to influence brain activity. The NExT study is testing whether combining TMS with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) can improve outcomes. We are currently enrolling participants. Click “Learn More” below for details.
